Nolen gur – Date palm jaggery Kulfi

When I was in kolkatta last year with my husband, he took me to have nolen gur ice cream in an earthen wear, and it was then when i had decided I have to get nolen gur and make this kulfi at home.

INGREDIENTS

  • full fat cream – 1 cup
  • full fat milk – 2 and 1/2 cup
  • nolen gur / date palm jaggery – 1 cup
  • almond crushes

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. crush nolen gur / date palm jaggery
  2. Boil milk till it becomes just half.
  3. add the cream (optional).
  4. Let the milk cool down and then add the nolen gur and mix well.
  5. sprinkle the almond crush in the kulfi moulds.
  6. Fill the kulfi moulds and freeze for overnight.
