When I was in kolkatta last year with my husband, he took me to have nolen gur ice cream in an earthen wear, and it was then when i had decided I have to get nolen gur and make this kulfi at home.
- full fat cream – 1 cup
- full fat milk – 2 and 1/2 cup
- nolen gur / date palm jaggery – 1 cup
- almond crushes
- crush nolen gur / date palm jaggery
- Boil milk till it becomes just half.
- add the cream (optional).
- Let the milk cool down and then add the nolen gur and mix well.
- sprinkle the almond crush in the kulfi moulds.
- Fill the kulfi moulds and freeze for overnight.
