Burnt garlic broken wheat porridge

My cousin recently invited us for dinner and she gave me this amazing healthy and tasty recipe of Dalia. I made it last night & my husband loved it. He didn’t realise it was Dalia at all and the taste of garlic was superb.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Oil – 2 tablespoon

  2. Jeera

  3. Ginger, chilly, lasun paste

  4. Salt as per taste

  5. Green peas, carrot, capsicum, green chillies – 1 cup

  6. Dalia – 1/2 cup

  7. Chana daal, moong daal, toor daal – 1/2 cup

  8. Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon

  9. Red chilli powder – 2 tablespoon

  10. Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

  11. Sugar – 1 teaspoon

  12. Green fresh garlic – 1/2 cup

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak Dalia and daal in water for 1/2 day

  2. Add oil in the cooker, add oil and once the oil is hot enough add Jeera and ginger-garlic-chilly paste followed by all veggies.

  3. Now add all the spices, salt and sugar.

  4. Mix well and add the Dalia and daal and mix well.

  5. Add 4 water and cover the cooker.

  6. Cook for 4 whisels and turn of the gas.

  7. Serve it with buttermilk and garnish with fresh garlic.
